The new lab logo reflects the research directions of our laboratory and reveals our commitment to make contributions to the research of computational biology and digital health. The double helix structure in the middle represents DNA, the genetic material of almost all lifes, and the letter "W" implies Wang laboratory. The outer skin of the capsule is composed of two Cs, highlighting the eventual goal of our research is to compute cures for human diseases. Two Cs together form the shape of a capsule, representing the role of data science in precision medicine and human health. They can also stands for two “clinic”, emphasising the concept of translational medicine that our research should come from the clinic to the bench and back again to the clinic. Moreover, the logo is overall symmetrical, with blue as the base color. This implies scientific mind and rational thinking.
